Industrial Hygiene Lab at Krasnoyarsky Cement Plant Is Now ISO Compliant

Industrial hygiene laboratory at Krasnoyarsky Cement has been accredited by Federal Accreditation Service. The enterprise can now carry out environmental control procedures independently from contactors and cut expenses. Amendments to the law "On Environmental Protection" required the re-equipment and ISO-compliant accreditation of the laboratory.

The laboratory passed the certification and is now fully compliant with ISO 17025 international standard. Now the laboratory will be able to independently evaluate the efficiency of gas treatment plants, determine the concentration of gaseous substances and inorganic dust, and monitor the quality of air in the sanitary protection zone of the enterprise. The zone includes the production site of the plant and the territory of two quarries — the Kuznetsovsky deposit (clay) and the ‘Black Cape’ deposit (limestone).

The plant acquired two modern forced draft fans, one ‘Atmas’ dust concentration control device, one ‘Polar’ gas analyzer, and ‘GANK’ — a device for detecting the concentration of gaseous pollutants, soot and inorganic dust. According to Sibcem (a parent company) the investment exceeded 1 million rubles.
