Jindal group to set up cement plant in Raigarh

Chhattisgarh government and Jindal group have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for setting up a state-of-the-art plant in Raigarh district.

Principal secretary (commerce and industry) Manoj Kumar Pingua and Jindal corporate affairs president Pradeep Tandon signed the MOU for setting up the plant, which will have a target to produce 25 lakh tonnes of cement and 25 lakh tonnes of clinker per year.

The plant will run with a 12 MW waste heat recovery system for energy conservation. Cement production will become a primary addition to the services of steel, power and mining activities of the Jindal group.
