Fujairah Natural Resources Corporation (FNRC) and Indian company JSW Cement have signed an agreement to build a new cement grinding unit in the Al Taween area of Fujairah, UAE.
The unit will have a production capacity of 1.65 million tonnes of cement per year and will produce ordinary Portland cement (OPC). The project also includes the construction of utilities and supporting infrastructure. Implementation is expected to take around 15 months.
The project will increase cement production capacity in Fujairah and support additional supplies to the UAE and GCC markets, amid growing demand for cement and construction materials driven by increased construction and infrastructure activity in the region.
