Kavkazcement to invest almost one billion rubles in modernization

Kavkazcement (part of CEMROS) has launched a large-scale campaign aimed at repairing and upgrading equipment for 2023-2024. As a result, the company will reach full production capacity in 2024 and increase its output by 25 % to 2.5 million tons of cement.

From November 2023 to April 2024, the company will undertake a major overhaul of rotary kilns No. 1, 2, 3, 4; electrostatic precipitators; raw and rod mills, clinker coolers; draft equipment conveyors, thrust rollers, bandages and kiln main drives. More than 250 linear meters of furnace linings will be replaced inside the furnaces. A project to install a new product palletizing line is about to be completed.

Large-scale investment projects of the maintenance campaign: reconstruction of rotary kiln No. 1, which had been on standby for almost 5 years, and conversion of cement mill No. 1 to a closed grinding circuit - separator installation.

All four technological lines at the plant are to be operational by the construction season.

"The current year has been tense for the entire construction industry, but despite all the challenges, we are increasing our output. Our products are used at the largest construction sites in the South of Russia. Of course, this puts great responsibility on the team, because the quality of life of many people depends on our work rate. Therefore, the company's management allocates considerable funds - more than 900 million rubles - for repairs and modernization. If the plant’s prepared for the season it can guarantee reliable performance of the entire enterprise and uninterrupted supplies of products to its customers," said Vladimir Sokoltsov, General Director of Kavkazcement.
