Vladimir Chasovitin, Minister of Ecology of Krasnoyarsk Krai, signed an order approving a new list of measures during the period of adverse weather conditions for the cement plant.
Thus, according to the approved plan, when the first degree of danger regime is declared, the enterprise is obliged to stop operation of special equipment of the “ Auto-tractor ” shop involved in raw materials transportation, stop emission from rotary kiln ignition, suspend planning and unloading works at clinker and slag storage sites. The environmental effect of the measures will reach 33.7%.
In case of the third degree of hazardous weather conditions, in addition to the above measures, the operation of two cement mills and transportation of clay and clinker will be suspended. The ecological effect will amount to 43.9 %.
Ecological modernization at the plant is carried out systematically on the basis of the best available technologies. By the end of 2025, the corona and precipitation electrodes in the electrostatic precipitator of rotary kiln No. 4 will be replaced. This measure will reduce the amount of inorganic dust emissions containing silicon dioxide.
It should be noted that in 2024 Krasnoyarsk Cement LLC received a comprehensive environmental permit (CEP). It is issued for a period of up to seven years and replaces three permit documents for different types of environmental impact. The CEP contains all environmental parameters and indicators that must be strictly observed.
Within the framework of the program it is planned to install multichannel fuel burners at rotary kilns No. 3 and No. 4 by 2027. This upgrade of equipment at the Kiln Shop will reduce emissions of nitrogen and carbon oxides.
Now 71 gas cleaning units are in operation at Krasnoyarsk Cement LLC. The plant continues to participate in the federal project “Clean Air”. One of the measures implemented under the project was the launch of an automatic emission control system in 2021. Sensors continuously measure pollutant emission indicators, and the obtained data are broadcast online on the website of the Krasnoyarsk Krai Ministry of Ecology.
