KuzbassTransCement sums up the results of work for six months of 2021

In January-June 2021 OOO KuzbassTransCement (subsidiary of AO HC Sibcem, responsible for the operation of the holding company's railway fleet) transported about 1.7 Mt of cement - 4.3% more than during the same period last year. The total weight of the cargo delivered during the same period increased by 2.5% to 2.8 Mt.

The company transported the products of Sibcem's plants in the first half of 2021 mainly in the Siberian, Far Eastern and Urals Federal Districts. Other cargoes were shipped to regions in the European part of the country, Kazakhstan, Mongolia and other countries.

In the first half of the year, KuzbassTransCement had to cancel its routes through China due to the ban on freight acceptance in boxcars introduced in that country in late 2020. KuzbassTransCement delivers third-party cargoes not only in boxcars but also in other types of rolling stock. In the first six months of 2021 the company most often transported sand, milled gypsum and slag, etc.

Today KuzbassTransCement has 2144 cement hopper cars, 1745 open-top and 400 boxcars and 90 dump cars. Another 100 boxcars are planned to be purchased in the next two or three months and they will be used for transportation of bagged cement. The company explains the need to expand its fleet by the growing demand for palletized products packed in a protective stretch film and stacked on pallets.
