Kyrgyzstan increased its imports of Kazakh cement by 70 % year-on-year in January–August 2026, according to official statistics from Kazakhstan.
Imports totalled 742,000 tonnes over the eight-month period, compared with 438,000 tonnes a year earlier. From April to August, monthly imports exceeded 100,000 tonnes, whereas no month in 2025 saw volumes reach this level.
The average price in 2026 stood at US$77/t, more than 40 % higher than in 2025.
