Nevyansk Cement Plant (part of the CEMROS Group) invested more than 28 million rubles in the purchase of new equipment for the laboratory.
Thus, the plant purchased a multi-channel X-ray spectrometer (SRM-35) to replace the old one. The spectrometer is designed to determine the chemical composition of raw materials, raw meal, clinker and cement. A spectrometer is necessary for laboratories, because the main method of current control is X-ray spectral.
“The new device was purchased as part of the program of import substitution. It was manufactured in the city of Oryol by a company that is the only supplier of wave spectrometers in Russia. Initially it was planned to purchase an imported device, but the price was more than twice as high as the Russian equivalent. Besides, its maintenance would have caused even more difficulties due to the current situation,” says Tatiana Baluyeva, Quality Director of Nevyansk Cement Plant.
The second device added to the laboratory of the cement plant was a particle size analyzer. It is designed to measure particle sizes and graph them. This equipment is used to determine the particle size distribution of cement to adjust the grinding process.
