The project to create a plant for the production of reinforced concrete on the basis of the Shchurovo industrial cluster CEMENTUM was launched in 2022, at the end of the same year the active construction phase began.
All general construction works have already been completed, the plant's territory improvement will be finished in accordance with the design solutions in spring. The plant is undergoing commissioning works at the moment. Technological processes are being adjusted, personnel is being trained, formulations are being practiced - everything that is necessary for uninterrupted operation and production of high quality products.
The main profile of the plant is New Jersey type road barriers. These reinforced concrete products are used as road barriers in the construction of highways, overpasses, flyovers and mountain roads. They are installed on both sides of the roadway of bridge structures and linear objects to protect vehicles from exiting the roadway, as well as on the dividing strip to prevent cars from driving on the "oncoming" road. The retention capacity of such blocks allows to ensure road safety in almost any emergency situations on the road.
The plant will also produce road slabs P.30.18, which will significantly reduce the construction time of temporary roads. Unlike other solutions, road slabs are a ready-made roadbed section that can be laid on almost any soil. Such slabs are not subject to deformation and rutting, and are also resistant to temperature fluctuations.
In addition, the company will produce PAG-14 and PAG-18 slabs designed for construction sites, heavy equipment and materials storage areas. To strengthen the durability of the slabs, the method of prestressing concrete reinforcement is used, which helps to significantly reduce the risk of cracks in reinforced concrete structures, reduces their weight and deflection index. Such slabs can withstand loads of up to 75 tons per square meter.
The plans for this year are to obtain a steady output of quality products according to GOST from high-quality cement of its own production, to enter serial production of road and airfield slabs, as well as parapet fences of "New Jersey" type.
"By the end of the year, the plant staff is to be set up to work two shifts to maximize production efficiency. As of today, the staff for one shift has been recruited. We have started recruiting staff for the second shift and have started the process of training people," said Azat Akhmedshin, project manager of the new reinforced concrete plant.
