According to Alexey Matushansky, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia, domestic production of air pollution control equipment continues to grow steadily. In 2025, output exceeded RUB 52bn, up 20% compared to the previous year. Export performance also improved, with overseas shipments reaching RUB 6.34bn, a 10% increase year-on-year.
The main consumers of gas cleaning equipment include the metallurgical, petrochemical, power generation and cement industries. These sectors are actively modernizing their production facilities, including under Russia's Clean Air federal project, supporting stable domestic demand.
Matushansky noted that Russia has established a strong base of domestic manufacturers with the expertise required to produce advanced gas cleaning equipment. He added that the market remains competitive, with market shares distributed relatively evenly among key suppliers, encouraging technological development and higher product quality.
The Deputy Minister also highlighted the rapid development of domestically produced Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS). Demand for these systems is being supported through the Leasing Projects programme of the Industrial Development Fund (IDF), coordinated by VEB.RF on behalf of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
