Portugese industrial holding company Semapa Group reported 9M 2020 results, indicating an 8.8 % increase in net profit for its cement segment (Secil Group). Cement revenue in 9M 2020 amounted to EUR 380 million, which is 1.9 % less YoY. EBITDA indicator is up by 24.2 % YoY, amounting to EUR 107.4 million. Cement segment in its domestic market (Portugal) and Brazil showed a 9M revenue increase of 4.2 % and 16.3 % respectively.
Clinker production at Semapa's enterprises went down by 8.3 % YoY (to 3,21 million tons), and cement production in 9M 2020 went down by 8.4 % YoY (to 3,68 million tons).
Sales volumes mostly went down YoY, except for clinker and mortars. Mortars sales volume went up by 4 % and amounted to 156,000 tons. Clinker sales went up by 42.2 and amounted to 397,000 tons.
Grey cement sales volume amounted to 3.47 million tons (down by 8.3 % YoY), white cement — 48,000 tons (down by 14.9 % YoY), and aggregates sales volume went down by 17.1 % YoY, amounting to 2,11 million tons.
