According to SOYUZCEMENT, in January-April 2021, cement consumption in Russia decreased by 1.7% compared to the corresponding period of 2020, to 13.7 million tons. The volume of cement production in the 1st quarter of 2020 decreased by 1,3% and also amounted to 13.7 million tons. The consumption of cement in April 2021 increased compared to the same indicator in April 2020 from 4.0 million to 4.9 million tons. The expected indicator of its consumption in May 2021 is 5, 6 million tons - 7% higher than the result of May 2020.
According to preliminary results, in January-May 2021, the volume of railway cement traffic in the country increased compared to January-May 2020 by 6.9%, to 9,718 thousand tons.
The volume of construction work performed in January-April 2021 was 2.2% higher than the level of the same period in 2020.
