The Potosi cement plant of state company Empresa Pública de Cementos Bolivia (ECEBOL) began operations one week ago in the Chiutara community, 7 kms from the city of Potosi in Bolivia.
The plant can produce 3000 tpd of clinker and 1.3 Mta cement, creating at least 2000 direct and indirect jobs.
Construction has already been finished in 2019, but the deadline for commissioning was not met because of problems with the supply of gas or water.
