By the end of 2021, Topkinsky Cement (a subsidiary of Sibcem) produced and sold about 2.2 million tons of cement – 6% more than in 2020.
The increase in production volumes is associated with the gradual restoration of the Siberian cement market capacity and the company's participation in major infrastructure projects of the macroregion.
Most of the products – 1.58 million tons or 72% of total sales - are sent to consumers by rail. Another 168 thousand tons (8%) were delivered by the company's own cement trucks. For these purposes, the company's fleet includes 13 vehicles that ensure uninterrupted supply of cement to construction sites within a radius of up to 400 kilometers.
1.35 million tons were shipped in bulk, 853.3 thousand tons of finished products were sold in containers, 527 thousand – in big bags, another 326.3 thousand tons in paper bags of 25 and 50 kg. At the same time, the demand for palletized cement continues to grow steadily. In 12 months, the company sold 156 thousand tons of cement in such packaging – 48.3% more than in 2020.
In order to ensure uninterrupted production and supply of products to consumers, scheduled equipment repairs are carried out at the plant in a timely manner. In addition, the implementation of projects on automation of the process control system and technical re-equipment of divisions continues, investment program activities are being carried out.
In 2021, a new gas control point was put into operation at the plant, which ensures lowering the pressure of the supplied gas and maintaining it at a given level for stable operation of the thermal equipment of the Firing, Grinding and boiler shops.
The most ambitious event for the company last year was the completion of the project to modernize the rotary kiln No. 1 with the installation of a modern Swiss-made electric filter. The use of this equipment allowed the plant to significantly reduce the amount of inorganic dust emissions with a silicon dioxide content below 20% from kiln No. 1 – this indicator decreased by 89.16% per year.
