At the end of the 2024 financial year, Carthage Cement was able to stabilize its solidity with a total turnover of 421 million dinars, a decrease of 2 % compared to 2023, in an economic context marked by numerous challenges.
Cement sales increased in 2024 compared to 2023. Clinker production reached 1.57 million tons (+1 %) and cement production reached 1.82 million tons (+3 %).
Local sales were 2 % higher than in 2023 at 346 million dinars. This performance partially offset the decline in export sales, which fell from 57 to 40 million dinars. This decrease was mainly due to a strategic decision to limit export clinker sales in view of unattractive market conditions.
The aggregates business recorded a 7 % increase in production and a 6 % increase in sales, from 22.4 million dinars to 23.8 million dinars.
Concrete (ready-mix) sales decreased by 15 % to 10.8 million dinars, compared to 12.7 million dinars in the previous year.
At the end of the year, investments totaled 21.9 million dinars, while debts decreased by 10 % from 355.8 million dinars to 321.6 million dinars.
In addition, the balance of bank investments reached 40 million dinars.
