Production of new types of Portland cement with active mineral supplements - basalt porphyrites and gaize was established at cement factories under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Industry and the construction production of Turkmenistan, reported to the President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Vice Prime Minister of the country – Shamukhammet Durdylyev.
Raw materials for the production of Portland cement is rock from the Ufra basalt porphyry quarry and the Akbulak deposit of the Dovletli etrap in Lebap region. These mineral supplements differ in their physical and chemical properties, mentioned Durdylyev.
Currently, Turkmenistan produces Portland cement under the 400-G20-K brand. The launch of new products will increase production of high-quality cement up to 20 %.
