Vicat Launches Range of Low-Carbon Concrete Products

In response to France’s new environmental regulations for new buildings (RE2020), Vicat Group, set for carbon neutrality throughout its value chain, presented a range of low-carbon products, DECA. With DECA Vicat strives to help achieve the objective of carbon neutrality. DECA stands short for ‘decarbonated’ and includes Vicat concretes with carbon impact from 10 % to 40 % lower than that of regular concrete mixes.

DECA1 products have carbon impact from 10 % to 20 % lower than that of regular concrete mixes, DECA2 —  from 10 % to 20 % lower. DECA2 products also stand out from other low-carbon market solutions with their early-age strength which allows for fast pouring/stripping cycles.

These low-carbon concretes for construction and civil works can be used for all applications: general-purpose concrete, floor-slab concrete, wall concrete, self-consolidating and self-leveling concrete, fair-face concrete, and exterior decorative concrete.
