Soyuzcement, the national cement manufacturing union, has appointed Vyacheslav Shmatov, the general director of EUROCEMENT Group, as its chair.
Shmatov has worked in the cement industry for over 11 years. He is engaged in asset management and operational activities of enterprises, is responsible for the strategic directions of development of one of the largest cement producers in Russia.
Vyacheslav Shmatov outlined the priorities of the Union's development in the short term. Among them is the revision and approval of the Development Strategy of SOYUZCEMENT, which should correspond to the Strategy for the Development of the Construction Materials industry for the period up to 2020 and the future until 2030.
