Effect of water-cement ratio on the kinetics of heat release of cements
The effect of water-cement ratio (W/C) on the kinetics of heat release during hydration of cements with different mineralogical composition has been studied. Lower W/C results in a significant reduction in heat release both in the early and late periods. The more C3S and C3A the cements contain, the greater is the influence of W/C on the rate of heat release during hydration of finely ground cement. W/C has virtually no effect on the rate of heat release of low alite cements in the early stages.Author: A.A. Serdyukova, I.S. Rakhimbayev |
