An installation for the preparation of wastes for use as fuel at the cement plant in Spain

A project to use waste as fuel by installing a Vecoplan FuelTrack equipment at the Cimentos Molinos Industrial factory, Spain, is described. The design, the working principle and advantages of the equipment and facilities are reviewed. Modular approach to the design of bins gave the plant flexibility with the changing assortment of waste. For transportation and continuous supply of fuel to the calciner a fully enclosed conveyor system is used, based on the newly developed VecoBelt arrangement, so that spillage and odours are eliminated, and a newly developed VecoJector device.
