Innovative solutions for kiln drives

The operation of the kiln seriously affects the pinion shaft and the girth gear. Because of this, French CMD company has developed a special Bogiflex KGD kiln drive (KGD stands for Kiln Gear Drive). The paper describes its design, operation and advantages.
