Cement Industry in Brazil

Information about the historical development and the current state of the cement industry and the cement market in Brazil - one of the largest cement consumers in the world is given. Almost all cement in the country is produced in dry process plants with high energy efficiency and low levels of CO2 emissions. The growth of cement consumption, observed since 2004, slowed in 2009, but then the pace increased again. According to the existing program of business expansion and construction of new plants in 2016, the installed capacity of cement production will exceed 100 Mt per year.
