Possible risks of using adulterated cement

The problem of production and sale of adulterated cement and risks associated with its use in the manufacture of concrete are considered. Comparative results of strength tests of concrete made with cement whose producer was named on the package, and with that by an unknown manufacturer, are given. The results of analysis of concrete failing to gain structural strength for a long time with a number of physicochemical methods are presented. Measures against the production and sale of counterfeit cement are proposed.
