An ash-slag TPP mixture – a mineral supplement to Portland cement

The influence of mineral additives – waste ash and slag from Verkhnetagilskaya TPP and granulated blast furnace slag from OAO Nizhny Tagil Metallurgical Plant – on the properties of cement and concrete on its basis was examined. Laboratory studies and field tests showed that it is possible to produce Portland cement of CEM II/A-Z 42,5N type with the addition of ash and slag mixture from Verkhnetagilskaya TPP, to be used in the manufacture of ready-mix concrete and prefab products.
