Modernisation and reconstruction of the cement plant kiln line in the town of Beremend, Hungary

The article provides a detailed description of modernization and reconstruction of the cement plant in the town of Beremend, Hungary. Reconstruction of the kiln line involved installation of a new downstream of the kiln heat-exchange device DOPOL-90 and a PREPOL MSC precalciner inside the old heat exchanger stack. The second stage of the reconstruction was setting up an infrastructure for using alternative fuels. After the reconstruction and three-day tests, the technical and economic parameters achieved by the kiln in operation were higher than the claimed design indicators.
