On dispersity and particle size distribution of the Russian and international cements

The article presents a comparative study of the strength, dispersity and particle size distribution of the Russian and international cements. It is shown that both the 2-day and 28-day strength of international cements is considerably higher than the corresponding indicators of the Russian cements.
In terms of their dispersity and particle size distribution the Russian cements are also inferior to the imported ones.
To improve the particle size distribution of the domestic cements, it is recommended to provide for a high alumina ratio in the clinker along with a higher content of free calcium oxide.
