Design, supply of equipment and construction of a grinding department for OAO Nikolaev-Cement

OAO Nikolaev-Cement, Ukraine, a member of the Lafarge Group, has ordered at Christian Pfeiffer Maschinenfabrik GmbH, Germany the design, equipment and erection of a new grinding department. A ball mill together with a gear-box and a drive were already available at the site. This equipment had to be integrated into a new grinding cycle. Engineering was developed by Christian Pfeiffer. Besides, the company had to supply all the necessary process equipment to the site. The design included preparation of floor plans. On that basis the Ukrainian partners prepared a civil engineering design according to the local codes and regulations. The metalwork for the department building was also manufactured in Ukraine. Christian Pfeiffer realized the project in cooperation with local enterprises and after commissioning the plant soon reached its planned capacity.
