Alkali resistance of alumosilicate refractories

The article gives the results of determination of the alkali resistance of alumosilicate products and concretes. It is shown that alkali resistance depends on the aluminium oxide content and on the size of the open porosity area. Additives were proposed that reduce interaction of aluminium oxide in the refractories with alkalis.
