Analysis of the thermal process for optimizing cement kiln control based on contactless temperature measurement

The article describes a system of optical and thermal on-line analysis of the processes taking place in the sintering zone and in the cooler of a rotary kiln, developed by Durag GmbH (Germany). The temperature of an object is determined in a contactless mode. The system provides the operator with important information for kiln operation control.
