Electric power stations based on piston engines

The article describes the electric power stations based on piston engines supplied by Wartsila Corporation (Finland) and discusses advantages of their application in cement plants.
It describes the design of the gas-piston engine Wartsila 20V34SG and provides the technical characteristics of the power unit on its base. The power unit provides for high electric efficiency and consistency of operating parameters.
