Modernization of cement mills at Shchurovsky cement plant.

The article describes the upgrading of open-cycle cement mill #5 at Shchurovsky cement plant (part of Holcim Group) performed by Fundiciones del Estanda S.A. M. During the execution of the project, a number of units of the mill were completely replaced. As a result of this modernization, the productivity of the mill has gone up 14 %, consumption of energy for grinding has decreased. The wear of the mill equipment has sharply decreased. The temperature of cement at the output is now lowered, and its maintenance at a constant level is ensured. Having considered the results achieved, the Shchurovsky cement plant management decided to retain Fundiciones del Estanda S.A. for upgrading of the remaining mills of the enterprise.
