The article cites the results of a study of sources of chromium ingress in cement at every stage of its production. It is shown that the main source of chromium if the refractory lining of rotary kilns. The article describes the measures that limit the Cr (III) → Cr (VI) transition, and also offers calculations indicating that the steel grinding balls produced by ZAO Energopress are not the cause of elevated content of Cr (VI) in cement.Author: I.N.
