Cement industry of Ukraine in 2006.

On the whole, the year 2006 was one of positive dynamics of development for the Ukrainian cement industry. Compared to the figures of 2005, the level of cement production in the sector was112.7%, clinker – 114.5%, cement sales – 112.4%.
The data on the production of cement and clinker by the Ukrainian enterprises in the 12 months of 2006 and 2005 are presented in table 1. In 2005 the enterprises of Ukr-Cement Association exported 9.6% of the total amount of cement sales. The data on the increase of production in December 2006 compared to December 2005, on sales of bagged cement and shares of cement consumption of by Ukrainian regions are given in table 2.
