Reduction of chromates in hydraulic binders and the CEM-PROTECTOR®-SYSTEM
The article describes the processes of oxidation-reduction of chromates in binder systems. It cites the results of a comparative analysis of the effect of iron and tin sulphates on the reduction of Cr^6+ to Cr^3+ in cement when water is added. It is shown that the introduction of Sn^2+ compounds is more effective in reducing the content of toxic water-soluble Cr^6+ in cement.Author: B. Brandt, V. Bonder |
