Cement in Russia: production capacities, output, consumption.

The article gives information on the capacity changing dynamics of cement production in Russia, output, consumption, export and import latest years. New high-performance dry cement production lines were commissioned in Russia on an unprecedented scale in 2011–2013. Their total annual design capacity is 22.3 Mt. In 2013 cement consumption in Russia amounted to 69.7 Mt, which exceeds its production in the same year by 3.3 Mt, and by 4.5 Mt — the consumption in 2012. The production of cement in Russia in the period up to 2020 is expected to reach 92 Mt; capacity utilization will be 65 to 70%. Cement production by energy saving technologies will continue to increase, and by 2020 its share will be more than 50%.
