Experiences with waste heat at plant Untervaz
The experience of the heat recovery installation using heat from flue gases at a Holcim cement plant in Untervaz Switzerland, is described. Adding a heat exchanger to the process has led to some difficulties in the operation of the electrostatic precipitator. Furthermore, the actual performance of the unit itself was significantly lower than that designed. The article describes the problems and the measures taken to address them.Author: F. Wider |
