Raw mills control with online analyzers at cement plant in Turkey
The paper describes the results of the analysis of ground raw materials moving on the air slide made with SpectraFlow inline analyzers controlled by the software automatically adjusting the setpoints of weight feeders, at the Kipaş Cement factory, Turkey. SpectraFlow analyzers use near-infrared radiation, so the method is absolutely safe. Their use has significantly reduced the standard deviation of the estimated lime saturation factor, LSF in comparison with its previous values, when the composition of the raw material was monitored by X-ray fluorescence analysis of the samples. The result is high quality material fed into the kilns after the raw millsAuthor: M. Erbaltaci, O. Oztürk, C. Potocan, D. Köberich |
