Automated control of the rotary kiln using fuzzy logic image analysis.
The paper presents a method of assessment of the rotary kiln burning zone status based on image recognition. The decision support unit for kiln control on the basis of this assessment, the period of one revolution of the kiln and the relative change in the flue gas temperature, using fuzzy logic, is described. The MIS decision support database was developed, consisting of 72 production rules for control of a wet process kiln, operating in the standard mode. A structure of a fuzzy control system for the wet process cement kiln was proposed, based on the developed unit, to be used both independently and as part of the existing rotary kiln control systems.Author: D.A.
