The newest 4th generation drive - a means of improving the reliability of vertical roller mills

The article focuses on the use of the latest 4th generation drive manufactured by RENK (Germany) under the name of COPE and designed for vertical roller mills (VRM) in the cement industry. The main advantages of the new technology are discussed. Notable are: better reliability of the VRM, reduced downtime and faster preparation and commissioning of the grinding unit with a COPE drive.
