Intensification of grinding using electric charge neutralization

The paper describes how the technology of grinding intensification using antistatic surfactants was supplemented with a device performing hardware electric charge neutralization in dry grinding. The device reduces the loss of elastic deformation energy on electrifying the crushed material, which results in increased energy efficiency in the formation of new surfaces. the negative manifestations of electrifying during grinding and the role of the subsurface, dislocated "debris layer" of grinding bodies were analyzed. The aggregate data on intensification of cement grinding in Russia and abroad with ECOFOR devices are presented.
