Cement industry in Italy

In the article information on Associazione Italiana Tecnico Economica Cemento (AITEC) is provided. The situation in the construction sector as well as in cement industry and market in Italy is described, the main indicators’ trends over recent years are shown. The recovery of Italian economy after long-run decline has not led to growth of demand for cement and increase of its production so far. Data on the range of cement products and their fields of application are given. The growth of alternative raw materials and fuels usage in cement production is marked as well as reduction of emissions into the atmosphere of dust and hazardous gases.
