Cement industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan

Driven by the growth of investments in the national economy of the Republic of Uzbekistan and development of the construction sector, the country’s cement consumption and production have considerably increased in recent years. There are now 12 cement plants in operation in the country with a total annual production capacity over 9 Mt. However, the cement production level achieved by now (about 8.5 Mt in 2016) still fails to meet the market demand. It is planned to expand the country’s cement production capacities by upgrading the existing and construction of new plants and process lines.
