SNCR – Easy and Efficient, but ...
The systems of selective non-catalytic reduction (SNCR) used in the cement industry, allowing to reduce emissions of nitrogen oxides (NOx) into the air are described. The characteristics of chemicals for the SNCR systems - anhydrous ammonia, its aqueous solution and urea - are given. The ways of optimizing the functioning of these systems are discussed. Recommendations are given to improve the control of their performance.Author: C. Kline, J. Kline |
