XRF analyzers for cement laboratories

The characteristics of ARL OPTIM X X-ray fluorescence analyzer from Thermo Scientific and the possibilities of using it in the laboratories of cement factories are described. The tests of chemical composition of cement samples produced by one of the companies showed that the accuracy of measurements obtained with the ARL OPTIM X analyzer meets the requirements of GOST 5382-91 "Cements and materials of cement production. Methods of chemical analysis". A new configuration of the device based on the ARL OPTIM X spectrometer was developed and successfully introduced into the technological process at one of Russia s cement plants. In comparison with the basic model, stability, ruggedness in operation and convenience of the device remained at the same level, while its cost decreased.
