Structure of modern commercial polycarboxylate plasticizers and their effect on the properties of Portland cement materials
The polymeric structure of a number of industrial dry polycarboxylate plasticizers produced at present was studied using NMR spectroscopy. The effect of plasticizers on the mobility and on the setting time of the cement paste, including that with active mineral additives - metakaolin and microsilica, was evaluated. It is shown that the inferred structure of the additives is in conformity with their specific influence on the properties of the cement pasteAuthor: A.S. Brykov, A.S. Panfilov, I.N. Medvedeva, M.V.
