Looking for the future: what a cement plant will look like in the near future

The cement plants of the near future are described. Their characteristic features will be a much more efficient use of resources and energy (including due to an increase in the use of alternative fuels and raw materials), a lower share of clinker in cement, the development of new cement, a significant reduction in CO2 and other pollutants, a high level of automation and digitalization. The competitiveness of factories will be largely determined by success in these areas.
