Increasing the thermal efficiency of dry cement rotary kilns of AO Spasskcement
AO Spasskcement, which is part of the Vostokcement holding, is equipped with two identical technological lines with kilns of ∅ 7.0/6.4 × 95 m with a two-string four-stage suspension preheater. The kilns productivity was 138-140 t/h. One of the kilns was modernized based on the recommendations by the experts from the Department of Cement and Composite Materials of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov: they proposed to install new seals at the unloading and loading ends of the kiln and sluice gates at the chutes of the lower stages of the preheater, as well as to revamp the cooler. The proposed recommendations increased the productivity of the kiln from 138-140 to 147 t/h and reduced the specific fuel consumption by about 15 kg of conventional fuel per 1 ton of clinker.Author: D.A.
