Cement industry in Brazil
This article presents the main characteristics of the cement industry in Brazil. The evolution of cement consumption and production in recent years was exposed, connecting it to the economic outlook. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a greater focus was given on how the Brazilian economy and cement industry behaved in this situation. The industry's concern regarding sustainability and its actions on how to reduce CO2 emissions were also addressed. Finally, a comment was made on future perspectives in the environmental and economic sphere.
