Modernizing cement mills at Siberian Cement Holding by installing high efficiency separators

Siberian Cement Holding, which includes five cement plants, continues to set up modern high efficiency separators in cement mills. After completing the installation, the company will be able to fully provide its consumers with high quality separated cement, for which the demand is constantly growing.

Commissioning of new separators will solve other problems, in particular, they will help to increase the productivity of the mills when producing class 42.5 cement by 25-30 % and reduce energy consumption by 10-15 % in comparison with similar open cycle mills, prevent overheating of cement due to cooling in separators, allow for a bigger share of mineral additives without reducing cement strength properties and decrease COGS of the output product.

The first project in the program was successfully completed in 2020 at the cement plant in Iskitim – cement mill No. 6 was equipped with a separator unit including bag filter. The modernization of equipment of closed cycle grinding system with the installation of a separator in cement mills No. 1 and 2 was completed at the Angarsk Cement and Mining Combine. In the near future the company will start modernizing separators in cement mills No. 6 and 7. Currently a 4 ´ 13.5 m closed-circuit grinding mill with a separator is in the process of being installed at Krasnoyarsk Cement. Another project related to transitioning to fine-grinding separated cement where the closed cycle system will be launched on mills No. 5 and No. 6 will be realized by the holding at Topki plant, with the largest capacity out of all the holding plants.
