Iraq’s Al-Qaim Cement Plant has reached its full designed production capacity of 840,000 tonnes annually, strengthening domestic cement supplies while increasing exports to neighboring Syria, the Ministry of Industry and Minerals announced.

This was announced by Alexander Dovgalo, CEO of the state-owned management company of the Belarusian Cement Company (BCK) holding, at the press conference “The Construction Industry of Belarus: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow. Results and Achievements.”

Dangote Industries Limited and Sinoma International Engineering Co., Ltd. have signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) worth more than $800 million to expand the Dangote Cement Plant in Itori, Ogun State, increasing its production capacity from six million to 12 million metric tonnes per annum (MTPA).

Kazakh cement producers manufactured nearly 7 Mt of Portland cement in January–July 2026, up 5 % year-on-year from 6.6 Mt in the same period of 2025.

Holcim reported 5.2 % organic net sales growth (7.9M CHF) and 11.5 % organic recurring EBIT growth (1.5M CHF) in the first half of 2026. Growth accelerated in the second quarter, with organic net sales increasing by 6.4 % and recurring EBIT by 13.1 %, prompting the company to upgrade its full-year guidance.

Sibcem Holding produced approximately 1.8 Mt of cement across its five cement plants in the first half of 2026, down 19 % year-on-year.

Heidelberg Materials reported Q2 2026 revenue of €6.04bn, up 6% year-on-year, while RCO increased 4% to €1.09bn.
